MTH Showroom Layout

In Christmas of 2010, I was new to the hobby and started collecting toy trains. About three years later, in the Summer of 2013, we visited Columbia, Maryland, home of MTH Electric Trains. Its headquarters includes offices, repair and service facilities, a shipping warehouse, and a showroom with walls full of trains and a layout. One of the great things about MTH is that it allows visitors to visit the showroom and enjoy all the trains in action. That's why we visited the headquarters. Columbia is not very far from my home. This building has very unique decorations that are all train-related such as train tracks around the building on the outside, walls full of model trains displayed inside the showroom, and even a wall decoration that resembles a passenger coach by the lobby. However, the layout was not built officially by MTH but by a dealer called Ready To Roll, located in Miami, Florida. I recognized the showroom because I saw it from a train video that features this and other great MTH layouts.

Because we visited the headquarters, I thought that it would be fun to see the MTH's president named Mike Wolf, although he would probably be busy. But right after visiting the showroom, I actually saw him walking by and then he stopped to talk with me. Just like the showroom layout, I also recognized Mike as well in that same particular video. While I talked with him, I also showed him a couple of suggestions on what trains MTH could use as models in the future. I've got to say that in my opinion, he's a grand celebrity in model railroading! Here are my photos of this friendly place full of trains!
